Looking forward, foam painted but not unmasked. Would I foam it again this way? The answer is definately yes. The alternative is custom fitting hundreds of irregular polygons for each area between longitudinals and frames, and I felt that there was no way I could seal it nearly as well that way as I could this way. With the double sand blasting I did (once when the boat was framed, and again after plating), I knew the steel was as well prepped as possible, and has at least 7 coats of epoxy everywhere. So I'm not too worried about what's happening underneath this stuff. She's going to outlast me. And it works great; I can go out to the boat on the mooring at 4:30 of a 90 degree July day and open the hatches and she cools right down. Back to Gallery
